I've created a monster..

When I met my boyfriend I witnessed his constant waste of energy.  I realised that he like so many others didn't do it on purpose nor was he even remotely aware of his subtle crime against mother nature.  He also reasoned that his over usage of lights was because he couldn't see.  Growing up in my world we were reminded often to save energy mainly due to saving money.  With my son I remind him to "green his space" meaning make sure his lights and fans are off to instill good habits and be aware of his impact on the environment.  And so now my boyfriend, the wonderful man he is, has become quite conscious of tuning off lights even if that means I am still in the room.
